ABOUT is a little bit about me, what people say about poshpapers.net and about the lines I sell.

Hi! My name is Christine Mattson and I have the delight of being the owner, accountant, administrative assistant and stationery enthusiast of Posh Papers. Let me tell you a little about myself and why providing such quality products is so important to me.

I’ve had a quirky appreciation for stationery since a young age. I remember the exciting days as a little girl when my dad would bring home outdated letterhead from his office for me to use as scrap paper. I treasured it so much that I still have a clear vision of it in my head. When I settled into my first apartment after college, I went so far as to send a moving announcement to all of my friends and family. Just as any college student would do, right? Upon receiving a touching thank you note, I constantly have to resist the urge to send a thank you note in response!

Beyond the fact that I love all things aesthetically pleasing, some of the most moving sentiments in my life have been expressed to me through handwritten note cards. This is the inspiration for Posh Papers. I started Posh Papers after realizing that I was spending altogether too much time looking for paper that I liked, despite the fact that I’m always ready for a good Internet hunt. A strong yearning to start my own business, coupled with the desire to learn something new gave birth to poshpapers.net. The stationery designers represented here are primarily from small women-owned businesses, giving me the opportunity to help you find exactly what you are looking for and, at the same time, support artisans in their craft.

My hope is that you will enjoy Posh Papers as much as I do. Whether you are selecting paper for a special occasion or simply to brighten someone’s day, you will find a varied selection that is sure to please every palate. Bernadette Elenteny Designs have been recently featured in February issue of Brides magazine. BED provides us with our line of monogrammed products. Her style is chic and sleek. She has some fun themed invitations like bowling and western.
Dinky Designs is the most whimsical of all of our designs, Dinky knows how to do fun invites right. My favorites are their children's party invitations.
Kelly Hughes Designs produces stationery with original artwork that is done by hand with watercolor paints and her cards are produced on high quality stock and are packaged with a pretty ribbon. Have you seen her personalized placemats for kids? Don't miss them before you leave. Kelly is a former St. Louisan, which makes her need and dear to my heart.
Le Papier Boutique describe their papers as modern, chic and unique! None of their products are preprinted so every order is treated as a custom design. A free proof is included in the cost of their stationery.
Mariealla Designs are only line of fill-in invitations and announcements, non-personalized thank you notes and some invitations and announcements you can print yourself. Take a look at her thank you notes under our Stationery section. They are amazing pieces of art. She has been featured in magazines like San Diego Home/Garden and Garden Decor. Mariella Designs manufacture their cards in the United States and only use inks that are soy based and earth friendly.
Three Designing Women are our line of self-inking stamps and monogram stamps. They are sure to have a stamp to suit your personal style.
Sweet Pea Designs sell colorful products like invitations and folded and flat notes. On Posh Papers, you will often see links to the Sweet Pea site. You will go there to order.
Whitney Enlgish is our newest line. According to the company, "You’ll find a touch of whimsy mixed with classic style and topped off with a dash of the unexpected." Currently we are selling their return address labels and personalized placemats.
